The '''Chatbox''' is a feature that allows you to type messages to other users. It has 144-character limit, and only the most recent message can be viewed. While typing your message, a typing indicator will appear.

==Usage==
To open the chatbox, press <code>Y</code> if you are using a keyboard, or navigate through <code>[[Action Menu]] > Tools > Chatbox</code> for the other input devices.

Alternatively, the chatbox can be sent [[Open Sound Control|OSC]] data.

==Viewing and visuals==
By default, the chatbox is visible to everyone. This can be changed in settings.

===Position===
After a message is sent on a chatbox, it will appear in either 2 locations, depending on which setting you choose:

*'''Above (Default)''': Chatbox message will appear above the user who sent the message
*'''Forward''': Chatbox message will appear in front of the user who sent the message

Chatbox settings are highly customizable, allowing you to change chatbox visibility, display duration, size and more.

==OSC==
While you can send OSC data to the chatbox, it also has features which aren't possible to perform within the client. Such as new lines, word wrap, parameter to disable notification SFX, and more.
