Prismic's Avatar Search is a cross-platform avatar world published by Prismic247 in early 2023. In this world, users can search through an index of over a million avatars, as well as other gimmicks centred around avatars.

Overview
Prismic's Avatar Search places users into a box with grid textures for its floor and walls. It features a defaulted on mirror, an avatar height indicator to the left and avatar search features to the right of spawn. Users can customize world visuals and players settings, as well as room options.

Features
Avatar search
Towards the right of spawn, features the avatar search panel. Users have the ability to search for avatars by name, author and filter avatars by their platform, performance and whether they have impostors.

The avatar search works by collecting and indexing lists of known public avatars. Private avatars are not shown, and if avatar creators would like to get their avatars added or removed, simply follow the instructions shown in the world; contacting the author on Discord, or adding <code>[private]</code> to an avatar's description.

After searching for an avatar, avatar pedestals will be displayed on the wall related to the result of the user's search. Users can also load any avatar via avatar ID.

<translate>
<!--T:13-->
When joining worlds in Community Labs, there are visual indicators that they are Community Labs worlds.

<!--T:14-->
*When joining through a portal, there is a green ring around the portal and the Community Labs icon on the top left of it.
*Loading into a Community Labs world shows you a unique tip on the loading screen.

<!--T:15-->
Note: There are no visual indicators for Community Labs worlds when joining one through an invite, except for the tip given on the loading screen. Community Labs worlds can still be joined, even if the option for it is disabled.

==Publishing to Community Labs== <!--T:16-->

</translate>

<translate>

<!--T:18-->
There are a few steps that first must be taken, before publishing a world to Community Labs.

===Requirements=== <!--T:19-->

<!--T:20-->
*You must have a VRChat account. If you have a third-party platform account (Steam, Meta, etc.), it must be merged with your VRChat account first.
*Your VRChat account must not be banned from submitting worlds to Community Labs.
*Trust rank must be "User" or higher.
*At least one week must have passed since your previous submission to Community Labs, if applicable.

===SDK=== <!--T:21-->

<!--T:22-->
In the SDK's "Builder" tab, navigate to "World Visibility". Select the "Publish to Community Labs" button to allow your world to be published to Community Labs.
</translate>

<translate>

=== Website=== <!--T:24-->

<!--T:25-->
If a world is uploaded privately, you can publish it to Community Labs by going to your world page on the VRChat website, and scrolling down to the "Danger Zone" section of the page. Click the "Publish to Community Labs" button to publish your world to Community Labs.

<!--T:26-->
Navigate there, by going to https://vrchat.com/home/content/worlds on the VRChat website, and select any private worlds that are uploaded to your account.

==Reporting Community Labs worlds== <!--T:27-->

<!--T:28-->
A world may contain performance issues, offensive content, and/or qualities that could be against the Terms Of Service. Such Worlds can be reported using the in-client report form.

==Community Labs 101== <!--T:29-->

<!--T:30-->
Here are some basic principals of what to expect, when your world is in the Community Labs system:

<!--T:31-->
*Only one world can be submitted each week.
*A world can be updated as often as you like, however, it won't change the Labs status of the world.
*If your world does well in Community Labs, your world will automatically be published to Public status!
*Worlds that are reported for legitimate reasons will be removed from Community Labs, and moderation action may be taken against the author in severe cases.

===Official FAQ=== <!--T:32-->

<!--T:33-->
Q: How long does it take for my world to get to Public status?

<!--T:34-->
A: There's no set "time". Your world going Public and out of Community Labs is based on many factors. The factors involved are best described as "How much do users seem to be enjoying your world?". The specifics are kept secret.

<!--T:35-->
Q: I have a Public/Community Labs world that I'd like to make Private again.

<!--T:36-->
A: Go to the VRChat Home website, and click the Unpublish button. When you choose to re-publish your world, users will still have your world in their Favorites, and you'll retain some of your previous world stats. Users will not be able to see the name or picture of your world in their list. Instead they will see "World Currently Set to Private". Be aware that publishing a world again will put it back to Community Labs status.

<!--T:37-->
Q: I can only Publish once per week? How can I be expected to iterate or update with a limit that strict?

<!--T:38-->
A: The limit applies only when publishing worlds into Community Labs. You can update your existing world, no matter what state it is in (Private, Community Labs, Public), whenever you like. Your world will remain at whatever status it is in.

<!--T:39-->
Q: I have a world that I would like categorized as an Avatar/Game/etc World. How do I do that?

<!--T:40-->
A: If you would like your world to be categorized as an Avatar World or Game World, just add the appropriate tag from the VRChat website, or by pressing the add tags button in the SDK. Add <code>avatar</code> or <code>game</code> as one of your world tags. However, don't falsify your world or abuse tags to promote your world. Utilizing "SEO-like" techniques is not permitted. VRChat reserves the right to moderate users who abuse our systems to unfairly or misleadingly promote their own content.

<!--T:41-->
Q: Is it possible for a world to never leave Community Labs?

<!--T:42-->
A: Not really. It might take a very long time for a world to get out of Labs (if it isn't popular at all), but given endless time, a world will eventually get out of Labs.

<!--T:43-->
Q: How does a world fail out of Community Labs? What can I do if my world fails out of Community Labs?

<!--T:44-->
A: If a world is reported, it will be investigated. If a world breaks the Terms of Service, is malicious, or some other report is sent that is valid, it will be delisted from Labs. The same goes for Public worlds. If you correct the issue, you can re-submit your world to Community Labs. If your world had some more serious issues, like Terms of Service violations, you may find yourself restricted from submitting worlds.

<!--T:45-->
Q: How does VRChat prevent "report bombs" or falsified reports?

<!--T:46-->
A: VRChat uses the same methods used in avoiding false/inaccurate reports on users/worlds to detect invalid reports. This is a tested system that has served them quite well and aims to prevent malicious users from abusing the report system.

Loading Screens are a series of intermittent scenes that are shown when loading into the client or worlds. It displays helpful tips about VRChat, as well as display a download progress bar.

Client
The loading screen scene consists of a teal void with bubble-like particles floating around. In the center of the view point is a graphic showing various tips. Underneath, displays the percentage of the world downloading progress. Below that, shows a "Return to Home" button to return to the user's home world. If the user is loading their home world, and they click the Return to Home button, it will load the VRChat Home instead.

After downloading, the loading screen will display the thumbnail of the world with a load indicator below it. The load indicator states progress in this order:

* "Initializing World...", "Connecting...", "Joining...", and "Almost Done!"<small>{verify}</small> if the loading takes too long.

While in VR, you are able to see a mirrored version of the loading screen by looking behind.

Tips
There are 28 loading screens that can be displayed when entering into a world:
Custom
Select worlds can display a custom loading screen, needing permission from VRChat. This is usually associated with linking data with a third-party website. This type of loading screen requires the user to press an "Accept & Continue" button to join the world.
<gallery mode="packed">
File:LoadingScreenCustom_FuralitySomna.png|Custom
</gallery>
Android
There are 3 loading screens that can be displayed when joining a world from the app.
<gallery mode="packed">
File:AndroidLoadingScreen_Avatars.png|Avatars
File:AndroidLoadingScreen_Friends.png|Friends
</gallery>

Settings for the loading screen
"Go!" button
Within the Main Menu Settings menu, under the User Interface tab, there is an option to toggle a "Go!" button on load. Having this setting enabled requires the user to click the Go button before loading into the world. Disabling the setting will remove the Go button, causing you to automatically join when the download is completed.

Preloading worlds
When browsing a world's page from within the VRChat client, an Action that can be clicked is Preload World. By preloading a world before joining, most of the loading screen can be skipped.

Trivia
* The music from the loading screen is called "Passing Through", by Erick McNerney.
** Erick McNerney has several official remixes of Passing Through on his YouTube channel.
* Before 2018, the loading screen was an outer space skybox that played "Partially Offline", by Andrea Baroni.
** This particular loading screen is re-created in the VRChat Home - 10 Years world.
** Partially Offline can also be heard in the VRChat Home music player.
* It might be speculated that the loading screen is a world called The In-Between.

Search filtering and functions

<gallery mode="packed">
File:LoadingScreenCustom_FuralitySomna.png|Custom
</gallery>
Android
There are 3 loading screens that can be displayed when joining a world from the app.
<gallery mode="packed">
File:AndroidLoadingScreen_Avatars.png|Avatars
File:AndroidLoadingScreen_ShieldLevel.png|Shield Level
File:AndroidLoadingScreen_Friends.png|Friends
</gallery>

<translate>
<!--T:13-->
When joining worlds in Community Labs, there are visual indicators that they are Community Labs worlds.

<!--T:14-->
*When joining through a portal, there is a green ring around the portal and the Community Labs icon on the top left of it.
*Loading into a Community Labs world shows you a unique tip on the loading screen.

<!--T:15-->
Note: There are no visual indicators for Community Labs worlds when joining one through an invite, except for the tip given on the loading screen. Community Labs worlds can still be joined, even if the option for it is disabled.

==Publishing to Community Labs== <!--T:16-->

</translate>

<translate>

<!--T:18-->
There are a few steps that first must be taken, before publishing a world to Community Labs.

===Requirements=== <!--T:19-->

<!--T:20-->

===SDK=== <!--T:21-->

<!--T:22-->
In the SDK's "Builder" tab, navigate to "World Visibility". Select the "Publish to Community Labs" button to allow your world to be published to Community Labs.
</translate>

<translate>

=== Website=== <!--T:24-->

<!--T:25-->
If a world is uploaded privately, you can publish it to Community Labs by going to your world page on the VRChat website, and scrolling down to the "Danger Zone" section of the page. Click the "Publish to Community Labs" button to publish your world to Community Labs.

<!--T:26-->
Navigate there, by going to https://vrchat.com/home/content/worlds on the VRChat website, and select any private worlds that are uploaded to your account.

==Reporting Community Labs worlds== <!--T:27-->

<!--T:28-->
A world may contain performance issues, offensive content, and/or qualities that could be against the Terms Of Service. Such Worlds can be reported using the in-client report form.

==Community Labs 101== <!--T:29-->

<!--T:30-->
Here are some basic principals of what to expect, when your world is in the Community Labs system:

<!--T:31-->

===Official FAQ=== <!--T:32-->

<!--T:33-->
Q: How long does it take for my world to get to Public status?

<!--T:34-->
A: There's no set "time". Your world going Public and out of Community Labs is based on many factors. The factors involved are best described as "How much do users seem to be enjoying your world?". The specifics are kept secret.

<!--T:35-->
Q: I have a Public/Community Labs world that I'd like to make Private again.

<!--T:36-->

<!--T:37-->
Q: I can only Publish once per week? How can I be expected to iterate or update with a limit that strict?

<!--T:38-->
A: The limit applies only when publishing worlds into Community Labs. You can update your existing world, no matter what state it is in (Private, Community Labs, Public), whenever you like. Your world will remain at whatever status it is in.

<!--T:39-->
Q: I have a world that I would like categorized as an Avatar/Game/etc World. How do I do that?

<!--T:40-->

<!--T:41-->
Q: Is it possible for a world to never leave Community Labs?

<!--T:42-->
A: Not really. It might take a very long time for a world to get out of Labs (if it isn't popular at all), but given endless time, a world will eventually get out of Labs.

<!--T:43-->
Q: How does a world fail out of Community Labs? What can I do if my world fails out of Community Labs?

<!--T:44-->

<!--T:45-->
Q: How does VRChat prevent "report bombs" or falsified reports?

<!--T:46-->
A: VRChat uses the same methods used in avoiding false/inaccurate reports on users/worlds to detect invalid reports. This is a tested system that has served them quite well and aims to prevent malicious users from abusing the report system.
