On November 13th 2025, VRChat announced that content submissions for the 2026 New Years world would open on November 17th, 2025. Confirming the event would return for it's tenth year.<ref>[https://x.com/VRChat/status/1989092253089091886 NYE2026 Submissions Announcement]</ref>

Included in the announcement, VRChat shared the type of submissions users can submit, along with guidelines<ref>[https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/e/2PACX-1vQT-vHYBv3pzKT2CHDLiajezkmvpuF5H6FpxL65_UcXxd2mw1CXDdrWVSKZ5AuDQFos5YDW1eNX_KdE/pub NYE2026 Submissions Guidelines]</ref> to follow for submissions to be accepted. The type of submissions users can submit are Posters, Booths, Graffiti, and videos for the VRChat Entertainment Network. The deadline for submissions was on December 10th, 2025.

Two days before the New Year's world release, VRChat released the "[[List of Shop listings#New Year's Celebration|New Year's Celebration]]" shelf into the [[Shop]], as well as the "New Year's 2026 Bundle" as a VRC+ content drop.

The Shop contains the "NYE Celebratory Bundle", which contains 5 items, 3 stickers, 2 premium emoji, 1 portal, and 1 warp effect, themed around New Years. The VRC+ content drop contains 2 items, and 1 warp effect.
