Getomeulou and Nemsi are the founders of GSLC, found communication barriers with global language and writing skills when communicating with deaf and hard-of-hearing users in VRChat, despite proficiency in American Sign Language<ref>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Sign_Language</ref> (ASL), and meeting high standards for bilingual and English proficiency.
