Jetski Rush is a cross-platform kart racing game world that can be played with up to 16 players. There are multiple courses to race on and items to use for your advantage.

Rozgrywka

1-16 players race their jetskis for the best position or time on the leaderboard. Each game takes place on one of several water courses, which can be chosen by voting or randomly. Depending on the map, the number of laps ranges from 2 to 4. A course can contain map elements that act as obstacles or to the player's advantage, such as boost rings. A large part of the game is focused around collecting and using items placed around the maps to activate effects such as extra speed or protection, or weapons such as mines and projectiles to slow down other players. Players can gain more speed by collecting and using Turbo, techniques such as drifting and leaning, and environmental elements like waves and ramps.

Turbo

Turbo required meter that is gained from time out of water, drifting, or the Turbo Fuel item. Turbo increases your max speed and acceleration for a brief period. It doesn't stack with boost rings but does stack with water landing speedboosts.

Drift

Drifting locks you into turning in the initial direction until you let go of the Lean Button. While drifting, you can turn into the drift to turn faster or out of the drift to turn slower. You gain a speed boost based on how long you hold the drift as well as turbo fuel.

Lean

Leaning will gradually reduce your speed, but allows you to jump off waves easier. Landing in water will give you a speedboost. You gain turbo fuel for the duration you are in the air.

Elements

A boost ring and a ramp

Boost rings

Driving through a boost ring pushes you in the direction that the ring is facing. Speed from using a Turbo boost does not stack with boost rings.

Ramps

Ramps allow the player to jump and gather time out of water to refill their Turbo meter, often to acquire the water landing speedboost and sometimes to just jump over obstacles.

Jetskis

Jetski customization panel at the spawn
Players can pick their preferred jetski model from the customization panel at the spawn. The customization options range from different recolors of the basic jetski to completely custom models like a rubber duck or VRRat themed ones. The more unique jetskis are only available for the supporters. There are also 2 jetskis available with a code acquired by finishing special challenges in Jetski Islet - a different world by the same author[1].

Tips

Tips displayed at the spawn menu:

  • Turbo right before landing in the water to get extra speed!
  • Turbo after getting hit to speed up faster!
  • Attack a Puffermine in the way to clear your path!
  • Gain Turbo by drifting or being out of water!
  • Hold down throttle when the countdown is at 3 seconds to get a turbo start!
  • Hold the lean button without turning before a wave to lean and get air!
  • You can adjust the angle you drift at by trying to turn while drifting!
  • Hold the lean button while you turn to drift!
  • In VR look forward and press RT + LT during countdown to recalibrate!
  • Getting motion sick? Try enabling 'Reduced Motion' in the settings!
  • Having trouble steering and aiming? Try changing your controls or using stick steering!

Other tips:

  • Distance to the first player affects the drop rates of certain items:[2]
    • The closer to the first place the higher the chance for Turbo Fuel.
    • If the first player is ahead of you a certain distance you can get the Royal Crown, chance increases with distance.
