Japan Street is a world created by NEET ENGINEER. The world exists on the PC and Quest platforms separately.
It was published in 2019 and has since grown to be one of the largest hubs for the Japanese VRChat Community.
PC & Quest Worlds
Due to the world size limitation of 50MB at the time, this world has been split between PC and Quest.
The Quest world used to be updated on a regular basis, but the updates have been suspended since the problem with VRChat for Quest crashing during world initialization. The current Japan Street Quest is based on PC's version 0.309 (excluded some functionalities).
Concept
'Japanese City that looks like it could exist in real life.'
This world was developed through collaboration of volunteers, with models being brought together with the aim of recreating a Japanese cityscape.
Community
There is an official VRChat group "Japan Street町内会" which exists for this world.
Akyo
Akyo is a mysterious animal which exists in Japan Street. There are currently over 100 styles of Akyo which exist, with each model having a dedicated pedestal next to Station Park by Haihocho Station.
