The Calendar is a built-in feature of VRChat that allows users to browse, join, and manage scheduled events. It consolidates activities from groups the user is a member of, along with any public events that have been made discoverable by other communities. The calendar can be accessed directly in VRChat or via the official VRChat website.

Events

An event is a scheduled gathering or activity created within a group. Events can contain detailed information, including:

• Title and description
• Start and end times (automatically displayed in the user’s local time zone)
• Event category
• Supported platforms
• Privacy setting (Public, Group-Only, or Invite-Only)
• Optional event imagery and tags

Events may be one-time or recurring, depending on how the organizer configures them.

Accessing and viewing events

• In VRChat, the calendar is available from the Main Menu under the Calendar tab.
• On the web, the calendar can be accessed by logging into the VRChat website and navigating to the Calendar section.
• To create an event, open the Calendar tab on the VRChat website and click the Create Event button.
• Users can search for public events using keywords or direct links.
• Filtering options allow users to sort events by category, platform, or access type.

Creating events

Event creation is available to group owners and members with the required permissions. To create an event:

1. Open the group’s Calendar tab on the VRChat website.
2. Fill in the event details, including title, description, schedule, and platform.
3. Choose the event’s privacy setting and add optional tags or images.
4. Save the event, making it visible to the intended audience.

An event can be linked to a group instance after the instance has been created, allowing organizers to associate an existing instance with an event without needing to set it up in advance.

Joining events

When an event is active and the user has permission to attend, a Join button will appear on the event’s page. This launches VRChat directly into the event instance if accessed via the web or the in-game interface.

Integration and notifications

Users can optionally add events from the VRChat calendar to their schedule and enable notifications for upcoming events. These reminders can appear within VRChat or be sent through the website, depending on user settings.
