Japan Street is a world created by NEET ENGINEER.
The world exists on the PC and Quest platforms separately.
It was published in 2019 and has since grown to be one of the largest hubs for the Japanese VRChat Community.
World Map
PC & Quest worlds
Due to the world size limitation of 50MB at the time, this world has been split between PC and Quest.
The Quest world used to be updated regularly, but the updates have been suspended since the problem with VRChat for Quest crashing during world initialization.
The current Japan Street Quest is based on PC's version 0.309 (excluding some functionalities).
Concept
'Japanese City that looks like it could exist in real life.'
This world was developed through a collaboration of volunteers, with models being brought together to recreate a Japanese cityscape.
Community
There is an official VRChat group "Japan Street町内会" which exists for this world.
Akyo
Akyo is a mysterious animal that exists in Japan Street. There are currently over 100 styles of Akyo that exist, with each model having a dedicated pedestal next to Station Park by Haihocho Station.

Time
There are three modes of time provided in this world.
- 30 Minutes Cycle: One day passes in 30 minutes, which is the default setting of this world. The world time will be the same regardless of time zone.
- Real-Time: Time will follow your PC clock.
- Manual: Manually set time by hand. You can set time by slider or command.
Teleportation
Several teleportation methods are offered in the world.
Some exist for warping to rooftops or special warp functions, but here we mention those for shortcuts in movement.
- Public Telephones: By interacting with a public telephone in the world, you can warp to a telephone tower at a telephone station. And vice versa.
