Furry culture on VRChat is largely defined in the VRChat community. Furry characters, or furries, are defined as animals or animal-like creatures with anthropomorphic (human-like) or humanoid traits such as speech, intelligence, and/or bipedal body structure.
Overview
Furries are both defined as people who are fans of anthropomorphic creatures, as well as the creatures themselves. The furry fandom is inspired off of several types of media involving anthropomorphic animals. A furry avatar is synonymously referred to as a fursona (furry persona), which display anthropomorphic traits.
