World hopping refers to the activity of visiting various virtual worlds in a short period of time, either alone or as part of a group. This exploration can occur independently or through guided tours. Users may have a predetermined criteria to select these worlds, including using curated categories like 'New & Noteworthy', or 'Highlighted', or 'VRCat's Variety Box', leveraging lists such as a personal list of favorite worlds, or assembling a list with friends based on other criteria. These criteria might include the world's theme, its popularity level, a specific search theme (like "Cozy" or "Fire"), or even the color featured in the world's thumbnail. Some world hopping groups will explore worlds in Community Labs.

The process can also be enhanced through guided group tours, where a leader provides navigation and detailed insights into each environment. These insights could cover a range of aspects, from technical challenges and limitations faced during the creation of the worlds to the underlying story and unique elements found within. Such tours not only enhance the visual experience but also deepen the understanding of the creative and technical processes behind the scenes.
