Visual Representation of Content

There is currently no informations on the wiki which pages are welcome and which are not.

I think a roadmap with future of extentions to the wiki. As well as a map with which areas are already touched so far, which are untouched yet, and which are not welcome would be a good addition. Hackebein (talk) 08:31, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

It has been 4 months, I'm curious if there has been any update either from VRC-Staff or maintainers on this progress, Potetionally a new area under Contributor hub to show the/a roadmap for the wikis future would be super nice to have! Comfy Chloe (talk) 12:03, 18 August 2025 (UTC)

The idea was that we use this talk pages to collaberate, catch feedback and work together on this. Unfortnatly working with talk pages isn't commen use for most as it seems.

Extension consideration

Time to time VRChat updates things or releases new stickers, at offen keeping things uptodate fast involves having a smooth upload experience, I'd like the wiki-team to consider adding an extention from mediawiki to improve the upload system and allow supporting mulit-file uploading: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:VisualData/File_upload Comfy Chloe (talk) 00:33, 26 July 2025 (UTC)

As per as maintainer discussion, we cannot find out that this extension has availability to assign license upon upload. We will find out and let you know once we found out. Tony_Lewis (talk) 19:46, 27 July 2025 (UTC)

Server team found that VisualData seems to have some compatibility issues with MediaWiki 1.43 which we currently use for wiki system. :(https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension_talk:VisualData#MediaWiki_1.43_compatibility

While looking for alternative we found slimmer extension, like https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:UploadWizard, can I get your opinion? Tony_Lewis (talk) 19:07, 29 July 2025 (UTC)

Hey, I notice the extention you linked, the verison requirement for media-wiki superseeds vrchats wiki verison (it needs 1.45, while vrcwiki has 1.43), I'm not sure it could be supported either way. Comfy Chloe (talk) 05:12, 1 August 2025 (UTC)

Hi, dev found patch for earlier issue so looking into it but I shall let them know that 1.45 require for alternative they told us.
