Quick, Draw! is a Pictionary-style artistic guessing game world, where players take turns drawing a prompt in 3D space while the remaining players attempt to guess the prompt. The player creating the drawing can choose between multiple prompts on their turn and can choose from an assortment of colored markers to draw with. The players who are guessing are given a keyboard on which to type their guess. Points are awarded depending on how fast you guess the word. The number of rounds, time limits, and language for the prompts are customizable by the instance creator.

Layout

The world consists of three rooms positioned in a linear arrangement. There's the spawn, the front of which leads to the main room, and the back of which leads to the portal room.

Spawn

The spawn room is situated between the other rooms and contains an instruction wall on the right and credits on the left.

Main room

The main room is the largest of the rooms and is where the game takes place. Most of the space is used as a lounge for viewing the stage, where the drawers are teleported onto and off of as their turn comes. In the front left is a game panel, which is used to join/leave the lobby, change settings, change language packs, and start the game. In the front right is a panel that is used for Patreon Supporters to customize their marker, as well as world settings such as a mirror toggle and video player controls.

Portal room

Behind the spawn room is the portal room, which is a small space that when entered, loads in a handful of world portals selected by the world creator.

Gameplay

The game supports up to 20 players. Possible options can include things like how many rounds, how much time to give the drawer, whether the drawer should be muted if the stage should be locked to prevent other people from wandering on, and what language set to use. Currently, supported language sets are English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, French, German, Polish, Czech, and Ukrainian.

After joining, and setting any desired options, the game owner can start the game. Late join is supported by the game, though new players won't see any drawings that occurred before they joined the world. Each round consists of a turn for each person as a drawer while the other players try to guess the prompt. At the start of the round, the drawer will be given three choices of what to draw and must select one before the timer runs out or one will be chosen at random. After the prompt is selected, a timer begins, and the drawer can begin drawing. They are given a marker and can aim at the color swatches down by the base of the stage to change color, and can also select an eraser if they make a mistake.

Meanwhile, the other players observe the drawer and can attempt to guess what it is their drawing. Guessing is entered via a keyboard, which can be opened by pressing the floating keyboard button in your view (VR) or by pressing the T key on the keyboard (desktop). The length of the word is indicated by the letter tiles above the stage as well as on the top of the keyboard. There is no penalty or timeout for wrong guesses. When a player guesses correctly, a sound is played, and their name shows up in green on the scoreboard for the turn. Once the first player guesses, the remaining time is reduced to a set amount, and the other places must guess within the remaining time. Points are allocated based on how quickly a guess was made.

Once the time runs out, the correct answer is displayed, and the next turn begins. Once everyone has had a turn, a new round starts, which repeats the same pattern. Once all rounds are complete, the player with the highest score wins, with all scores featured in their placement order on stage. After this, a new game can begin.
