The ranks they gain are as follows (lowest to highest):
| Visitor | Starting rank. | |

| New User | Can upload avatars and worlds to VRChat. Uploaded worlds must remain private. | |
| User | Can publish worlds to Community Labs. Allow gifting from the shop. Most functions become available at this rank. | |
| Known User | Can choose to appear as a “User”. | |
| Trusted User | Can choose to appear as a “User”. |
