[Reason: Needs tables and photos of default Emoji alongside the options and animation types for Custom Emoji]

Emojis are icons that can be summoned in front of a user to express themselves. While VRChat provides a set of default Emojis, users with an active VRChat+ subscription can upload images to use as Custom Emojis. Emojis can be accessed via the Action Menu or the Emoji Wing.

Default Emojis

Default Emojis are a set of of 65 Emojis split into 8 categories.

TODO: Provide tables of all default emoji within each category. Include a description of the way the Emoji animates for special ones, like the snowball. The "Official" names for each Emoji can be found on VRChat's Crowdin. big (talk) 17:03, 2 December 2024 (UTC)

Custom Emojis

First released in the 2023.2.3p2 update on June 29 2023, Custom Emojis is a feature through which users may upload small images and use them as emojis. Images, either took within the client, through the use of the Viewfinder or from their machine, may be used to create emojis. After either taking or chosing an image, the user will be prompted to customize its appearence by editing various aspects of it, such as: the zoom, the outline, the panning, and more.

Once done, a menu will appear, requiring the selection of an animation that the emoji will use when first spawned in the world; after saving, the emoji can be accessed via the Action Menu, under "Emojis & Stickers", or in the Emoji Wing of the Quick Menu.
