Phantom Sense (or "Phantom Touch") is a phenomena experienced among VRChat users where one may perceive physical sensations from actions and stimuli within VR. Note that Phantom Sense is a purely psychological phenomenon, as opposed to a mechanical approach like Haptic Technology.

Scientific Evidence

The Earliest Traces of Feelings similer to Phantom Sense comes from the First and Second World War.

Soldiers who Lost Arms, Fingers and/or Legs Claimed that they still felt their Limb in the Same Position when they lost it.

Scientists Believe Phantom Sense Occurs from your Brain Taking the Visual Sense More Seriously then the Touch Sense causing your Brain to Trigger Pain Receptors to Feel things when your Body is Touched In Game.

Phantom Pain People with Phantom Pain claim they can feel pain from stimuli within VRChat, such as being shot at.
Phantom Heat People with Phantom Heat claim they can feel temperature from stimuli within VRChat, like putting their hands over a fire.
