'''Trust Rank''' is part of the [[Special:MyLanguage/Trust and Safety|Trust and Safety]] in VRChat, designed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all users. This system determines when a user can upload content and evaluates user behavior to calculate "Trust", an aggregate of many variables. The system is adjustable and can be tweaked as needed.

==Ranks==

A user’s Trust feeds into their '''Trust Rank''', an indicator of their time spent in VRChat, content contribution, friendships made, and other factors.

===Gaining ranks ===

The inner workings of the Trust system are intentionally hidden to prevent exploitation.

However, the best way to raise your Trust Rank is to engage in normal activities in VRChat, such as:

* Exploring
*Making friends
*Creating content

Activities that will not raise your Trust Rank include: 
*Standing or idling in a room (AFKing).
*Uploading a large amount of low-effort content.
*Mass-friending large numbers of users.
*Harrassment towards other VRChat users.
Additionally, subscribing to [[VRChat+]], or being gifted a VRChat+ subscription can increase your Trust Rank<ref>[https://hello.vrchat.com/vrchatplus VRChat+] on VRChat's website; retrieved October 24, 2024.</ref>. However it will only increase it once.

The Safety and Trust system is designed to stay unobtrusive. A user's Trust Rank is visible only when the Quick Menu is open. This setting can be changed under "User Interface" > "Nameplate" or in the [[Special:MyLanguage/Action Menu|Action Menu]] under "Options" > "Nameplates."

*The text in the top left of the nameplate indicates the user's Trust Rank.
*The top right of the nameplate displays the user's avatar performance rank.
