There's a variety of world types covering topics ranging from social hangouts, games, to avatar showcases, scenic views, and more. Each world can have multiple sessions running at the same time, referred to as [[Special:MyLanguage/Instances|instances]], which have a global region they're linked to, a maximum user capacity set by the world author, and an instance type that controls who can join and moderate the world instance.

From the Worlds tab, users can use the "Search Worlds" button to search for a specific world by title, description, tag, author, etc. These can also be sorted by Relevance, Last Updated, and Popular.

Users can also use the Search tab on the Main Menu. This tab includes a variety of different search terms for discovering worlds, sorted into two different categories: Recommended Searches, and Quick World Searches. Quick World Searches can be shuffled to spot different search terms.

The world tile is represented with a [[Special:MyLanguage/Community:World Thumbnail|thumbnail]] & the world name, giving insight into its contents. This page features more details about the world, such as it's name, the author, description, actions and more.

[[Special:MyLanguage/Portals|Portals]] provide a quick way for users to access a specific world and instance, without having to individually find it through the menu. The portal will display the world image inside itself, and it will usually have the title above alongside other details such as user capacity and region. By default, walking forward into a portal, will transfer the user to the associated world, but [[Special:MyLanguage/Settings#Comfort & Safety|settings]] can be changed so that it requires user input (Portal Prompt), to prevent accidental travel. Portals will always come in two distinct forms:

Worlds may contain 'static portals' that they feature to serve as a link to other worlds. These are part of the world, and as such, usually stay there permanently, ready for people to interact with. If a user walks through a static portal, a countdown, starting from thirty will begin, to which any following user can proceed into the same instance until the countdown expires.

Gli utenti possono piazzare portali verso istanze di mondi cercando nella scheda Mondi, selezionando poi '''Nuova Istanza''', fornendo poi il tipo d'istanza, finalizzando ciò piazzando un portale, premendo il pulsante '''Rilascia Portale'''. I portali possono essere piazzati sulla maggior parte delle superfici del mondo, altresì in vicinanza del/dei punto/i di spawn. Questo tipo di portale è identico in aspetto ai portali statici, con l'unica differenza nella presenza di un timer sopra essi. Il timer conta alla rovescia partendo da 30 secondi. Il timer viene resettato ogni volta che un utente vi entra. Una volta scaduto il tempo, il portale scompare.

Per creare e caricare un mondo per VRChat, un utente deve aver raggiunto il rango di fiducia: "Utente".

Per poter iniziare a creare un mondo, è necessario scaricare il [[Special:MyLanguage/VRChat Creator Companion|Creator Companion di VRChat]], che permette l'installazione della versione più recente e compatibile di Unity e del [[Special:MyLanguage/VRChat SDK|SDK di VRChat]]. Alla prima pubblicazione di un mondo esso sarà inserito automaticamente nel [[Special:MyLanguage/Community Labs|laboratorio della comunità]] prima di essere rilasciato formalmente.
