VR 写真展 とは、VRChat やその他の仮想空間内で撮影された写真を展示する、現実世界のギャラリー展示および写真コンテストである。2024年以降、複数の定期開催シリーズが登場し、仮想写真を日本各地の実会場へと持ち込んでおり、作品はしばしばプロフェッショナルな写真印刷プロセスによって出力される。
PHOTO IS
PHOTO IS は、2006年から続く富士フイルムが主催する年次参加型写真展であり、「“PHOTO IS”想いをつなぐ。あなたが主役の写真展」という正式名称のもと開催されている。2026年には、Make Smile Project との共同主催により、VRChat 内で撮影された写真を対象とする VR PHOTO 部門が新設された。[1]
応募作品はすべて、応募者が選択した実会場および公式ウェブサイト上のオンライン展示にて公開される。会場では「絆ポスト」と題したプロジェクトが実施されており、来場者が展示作品に向けた手書きのメッセージを残すと、そのメッセージが写真家のもとへ郵送される。[1]

Submissions were accepted until May 20, 2026, with an entry fee of ¥660. Each entrant receives a 152 x 152 mm square print at home.[1]
Virtual Photography Showcase
The Virtual Photography Showcase is an exhibition series organized by virtual photographer AmaNeko and supported by Phonnect. It presents VRChat photography in public art spaces, aiming to introduce virtual culture and its artistic potential to audiences outside of virtual spaces.[2]

The 2025 edition featured eight invited photographers and attracted over 2,200 visitors.[3][2] The 2026 edition features thirteen invited photographers from Japan and abroad, with free admission. It introduces the "Virtual Photography Advance Program (VPAP)", encouraging works informed by art history and advanced photographic expression.[2]

VR PHOTO COMPETITION
The VR PHOTO COMPETITION is an annual photo contest organized by Make Smile Project with support from Fujifilm. Entries must be photographs taken in VRChat and are judged as physical prints produced using Fujifilm's silver halide process. Award-winning works are exhibited at FUJIFILM SQUARE in Tokyo Midtown, with a simultaneous virtual exhibition at House of Photography in Metaverse.[4]

The 2024 edition was the first public competition and its twelve selected works were exhibited as part of VR PHOTO EXHIBITION Vol. 3.[5][6] The 2025 edition selected fifteen works for exhibition: one Grand Prize, two Excellence Awards, five Judges' Special Awards, and seven Selected Works. Prize winners received Fujifilm instax products and print coupons.[7][4]
VR PHOTO EXHIBITION
The VR PHOTO EXHIBITION is a series of group exhibitions produced by Make Smile Project in collaboration with Fujifilm. The exhibitions display VRChat photographs as physical prints made with Fujifilm's silver halide printing and WALL DECOR products.[8]

Vol. 1, was the first exhibition in the series and included a free VR experience event on February 3, 2024.[9] Vol. 2, featured eleven VRChat photographers across a physical gallery and a simultaneous virtual exhibition at Fujifilm's House of Photography in Metaverse.[10] Vol. 3 was the first edition to include a public competition (the VR PHOTO COMPETITION), exhibiting twelve publicly submitted works alongside seven invited artists, all printed in A3 silver halide format.[5][6] Vol. 4 featured five photographers and included a participatory "VR PHOTO WALL" where visitors could print and display their own photographs.[11]
