[Reason: Missing sections, marked with "TODO"]
VRChat comes with a whole host of social tools for users. Such as friends, invites, notes, and more!
Friending
Friending a user on VRChat will send them a request they can accept or decline. When added as a friend, a user can send invites to their instance to friends or request to join a friend's instance.
TODO: add more information about what happens when a user friends someone — TrixxedHeart 2024/05/30 19:16 UTC
Friend Favoriting
Like with avatars and worlds, you can favorite a friend to add them to a list of people.
TODO: I feel like favoriting should be it's own page linked to since it's a much vaster feature? Topic of discussion probably. — TrixxedHeart 2024/05/30 19:16 UTC
Notes
Notes are snippets of information you can attach to a user that only you can see, this can be used for anything. An example of the kind of information you could put in may be how you met a user, names they go by, or their username on other platforms.
User Profile
User Profiles are a personalized space where users can display information about themselves through fields such as their status, description, languages they speak, social links, and the groups they're in.
TODO: More information plox — TrixxedHeart 2024/05/30 19:20 UTC
Statuses
Statuses can be set in the Quick Menu, Main Menu, or on the VRChat Website and are used for the following: to control how easily a user's friends can join their instance; to vary whether a user's friends can see the instance they are currently in; to silence notifications; and to communicate an activity.
Statuses consist of a color as well as a customisable short sentence (up to 32 characters). There are four different statuses in VRChat:
Join Me | A user's friends can see the instance they are in as well as join their instance without an invitation. |
---|---|
Active | A user's friends can see the instance they are in but must request an invite from the user in order to be able to join the instance, unless:
|
Ask Me | A user's friends cannot see the instance they are in but can still see that they are online, friends must request an invite from the user in order to be able to join. |
Busy | A user's friends cannot see the instance they are in but can still see that they are online, the user will not receive any notifications while having this status selected so cannot be joined by friends. |
