New Years Eve 2024 is the eighth annual New Years Eve event held by VRChat. Users celebrate the 2024 New Year in an urban-themed world.

Overview

Spawn area

Users who join the world, are first placed in the spawn area. A stream of drum-and-bass music will load, which is streamed through the video player that broadcasts the music throughout the world.

This event world has lower gravity, and users are able to jump higher than what most worlds are set to. Jump pads are scattered around different spots in the world, which can be used to 'hop' floors quickly. Steam flows out from the manholes, on the floor to display that it can be interacted with.

Photo booth

In the center-left side of the world, there is a photo booth which is synced between players in the instance. It allows users to bundle together and pose for a timed photo, which can be saved locally to create memories.
