Rexouium (dal latino Rex re, e ouium guardiano, insieme: re guardiano), è una specie aperta, e una base avatar creata in origine da Rezillo Ryker nel 2021.
Caratteristiche
Le caratteristiche caratterizzanti della specie Rexouium sono:
- L'altezza, che arriva a 213 centimetri o 7 piedi
- Forti gambe
- Orecchie lunghe e a punta
- Piume localizzate in alta densità in cima al capo e dietro il collo, che ricordano una criniera
- Ciuffi di piume sulle articolazioni (gomiti, polso, ginocchia)
Basi Avatar
Essendo il Rexouium una specie aperta, molteplici artisti hanno rilasciato basi avatar apponendo modifiche che seguono il loro stile artistico.
Queste basi includono un set completo di visemi facciali, supporto completo per il tracciamento completo del corpo e il tracciamento oculare, mentre altri supportano, in aggiunta, il tracciamento facciale e i visemi MMD (inclusi da sé o aggiunti dalla comunità). Le basi includono comunemente il supporto sia per la piattaforma Desktop che per dispositivi mobili Android, le cui versioni sono ottimizzate per soddisfare le limitazioni di performance imposte.
Avatar Rexouium da Rezillo Ryker
La base originale, creata dall'autore della specie Rezillo Ryker, è considerato come l'avatar "predefinito"[Citation Needed] dai furry su VRChat. Visto l'elevato livello di plasmabilità della struttura facciale, l'avatar può essere reso conforme alla maggior parte delle specie animali usate dai furry per i loro personaggi.
Come conseguenza della sua versatilità, il Rexouioum di Rezillo Ryker è diventato uno dei modelli più diffusi[Citation Needed], con un elevato quantitativo di accessori compatibili creati dalla comunità. Il modello inoltre contiene molte blendshapes personalizzabili, e le versioni più recenti includono la funzionalità di alternare uno stile di camminata digitigrado e plantigrado.
This base is primarily distributed via Gumroad[1]. The model also comes with a separate, albeit more pricy, license option for commercial use.
Rexouium Evolved e EvoRex HD, da Tosca
Questa base è stata creata da Tosca, il quale ha integrato opzioni di camminata digitigrade e plantigrade sin dal 2021[2], che include la base Rexouium Evolved. The digitigrade rigs were originally created using a method based on Unity bone constraints which was pioneered by DragonSkyRunner[3][4] and more recently Tosca has been using another method by Reign04.[5] Since VRChat did not support constraints for Android builds on the platform at the time of the base's release, the digitigrade rig version of the avatar is only usable on the PC platform. This base is also primarily distributed via Gumroad[6].
In 2023, Tosca also published the EvoRex HD base model, with the main new feature being split UVs, that allow for the use of larger resolution textures on certain parts of the avatar. The EvoRex HD is also sold on Gumroad[7], and was provided to the owners of the previous model version for free.
There are no specific restrictions on this base for commercial use, beyond the requirement that model files must not be redistributed by buyers.
Rezuium da Hirozu
Il Rezuium, creato da Hirozu, è un alternativa agli avatar precedenti, che dispone di uno stile originale e il supporto di fabbrica del tracciamento del volto. È anche disponibile un pacchetto vestiario aggiuntivo. Il Rezuium è disponibile anche su Gumroad[8].
Commercial use (specifically re-sale of the model itself) is prohibited by the base's terms of service (ToS), but it can be used as part of other content as long as the fact that the model is not included with the purchase is clearly indicated, and that credit must be given to the model author.
Notably, the avatar was featured in HTC's U24 Pro commercial. The company initially failed to give credit to the base creator, breaching the base's ToS, but later included credit after republishing the commercial.
