This page serves to document notable changes made to the VRChat Wiki. Types of changes to expect here are changes to; wiki polices and guidelines, extensions, MediaWiki, VRCWiki team, and more. The changes are listed in reverse chronological order.

2026

• February 26: Added French Fox as a Maintainer after a successful vote.

2025

• August 05: Added AcarajéNordestino as a Maintainer after a successful vote.
• August 04: Added the User page policy, mainly for moderation purposes.
• June 20: Added the Citizen skin.
• June 17: MediaWiki has been updated to v1.43 from v1.39.
• May 29: The Moderation extension has been removed, allowing any user to edit any page freely.
• May 29: Added vcc:// (VRChat Creator Companion links) as an allowed link protocol.
• April 06: Added 雨可韓韓 Yucohanhan as a Maintainer after a successful vote.
• March 19: Added Aries' and TrixxedHeart as Organizers after a successful vote.
• January 12: Implemented the Backseat moderation policy, after a successful vote.

2024

• December 05: Added the TitleKey extension.
• December 05: Added the Guides namespace.
• October 17: Added the TemplateData extension.
• October 11: Added the TimedMediaHandler extension.
• October 08: Re-wrote the Conflicts of Interest policy after several months of discussion.
• August 23: Added the Echo, DiscussionTools and Linter extensions.
• August 19: Added the MediaWiki Language Extension Bundle.
• August 15: Added the Popups extension.
• August 06: Added the Description2 and OpenGraphMeta extensions.
• August 01: VRChat Wiki is officially launched.
• May 28: VRChat opens up VRChat Wiki internally to volunteers (known now as maintainers).
