Survive as long as you can against hoardes of enemies, and compete with your friends for the best time. Collect gems to upgrade your weapon, and fight against 17 unique enemies, if you can survive long enough. Inspired by the game "Devil Daggers" by Sorath. Created for Spookality 2024.
Fiendish Frenzy is a 'bullet-hell' solo game world, created by Prismic247, with the objective of collecting gems, and surviving for the longest amount of time, possible.
Overview
Fiendish Frenzy has a difficult skill ceiling, and intense movement and action. It is not recommended to use Holoport locomotion while playing Fiendish Frenzy.
The objective of the game is to survive escalating waves of enemies for as long as possible. You can fight back, by throwing daggers. Everyone fights their own battle locally, but shares the same arena. Anyone sharing the instance, will be able to compete to be at the top of the instance leaderboard.
Some enemies drop red gems, which can be used to upgrade your daggers. Gems will gravitate towards you, when daggers are not being thrown. Collecting gems will eventually allow you to fire secondary rounds of special daggers, which can home in on the enemy, or cause an exploding effect.
Controls
Hold the trigger, or hold down the left mouse button, to fire a stream of daggers. Quickly tap and release, or perform a single click, to fire a wide blast of daggers.
Once you reach 70 gems, you can use your off-hand trigger, or other mouse button to shoot special homing daggers, which hit enemies easier, but at the cost at gems. At 150 gems, those daggers create explosive damage. Some enemies can only be defeated by destroying their gem(s). Absorbing gems, can lead to your daggers being upgraded when you reach 10, 70, and 150, which can help you survive longer. Gems will automatically come to you while you aren't shooting.
Jump again while in the air to perform a double jump. Jumping also increases movement speed slightly, which can help escape fast enemies. Shooting downwards, towards the ground, can give another aerial boost.
