Chatbox
The Chatbox lets you type messages to other users with a 144-character limit, and only the most recent message is visible. A typing indicator appears while you type.
Usage
To open the chatbox, press Y if using a keyboard, or navigate to Action Menu > Tools > Chatbox for other input devices.
You can also send OSC data to the chatbox.
Viewing and visuals
By default, the chatbox is visible to everyone. You can change this in settings.
Position
After you send a message, it appears in one of two locations, depending on your chosen setting:
- Above (Default): The message appears above the user who sent it
- Forward: The message appears in front of the user who sent it
Settings
Chatbox settings are highly customizable, letting you adjust visibility, display duration, size, and more.

OSC
While you can send OSC data to the chatbox, it also supports features not possible in the client, such as new lines, word wrap, disabling notification SFX, and more.
