A Companion is a pet-type item that follows the user around. These items have a distinct "Companion" label in the Shop. A Companion stays spawned and follows the user between instances rather than needing to be spawned again each time, and only one Companion can be active at a time. Companions include a repositioning system, custom spawn and despawn animations, and following behavior, and can be customized from their Details screen in the Quick Menu, a dedicated section of the Action Menu, or from the Inventory. Unlike Props, Companions cannot be hidden or disabled by worlds or instances, though a user can hide their own Companion or those of other users.
