The envelope was first set to grant 
400, but the reward was changed to 399 before broader availability. The reduction reflected tetraphobia: in some East Asian cultures the word for "four" sounds like the word for "death."[1] Some users who redeemed on February 19, 2026, before the change, received 400 instead of 399.[2] Per Shop listing data, the Lucky Red Envelope was listed from February 18, 2026 through April 1, 2026.
