New Years Eve 2026 is the tenth annual New Years Eve event held by VRChat. Users celebrate the 2026 New Year in a VRChat version of New York's Time Square.
Background
On November 13th 2025, VRChat announced that content submissions for the 2026 New Years world would open on November 17th, 2025. Confirming the event would return for it's tenth year.[1]
Included in the announcement, VRChat shared the type of submissions users can submit, along with guidelines[2] to follow for submissions to be accepted. The type of submissions users can submit are Posters, Booths, Graffiti, and videos for the VRChat Entertainment Network. The deadline for submissions was on December 10th, 2025.
Shop & Content Drop
Two days before the New Year's world release, VRChat released the "New Year's Celebration" shelf into the Shop, as well as the "New Year's 2026 Bundle" as a VRC+ content drop.
The Shop contains the "NYE Celebratory Bundle", which contains 5 items, 3 stickers, 2 premium emoji, 1 portal, and 1 warp effect, themed around New Years. The VRC+ content drop contains 2 items, and 1 warp effect.
World
The New Years Eve 2026 world is not yet released. It is planned to release at 8AM UTC on December 31st.
