Venture into the (Un)known is a multi-world experience inspired by ARGs and focused within VRChat, with the goal of finding VRRat.

Overview

The Venture into the [Un]Known (or VITU for short) is a multi-world VRChat experience in the format of an ARG (Alternate Reality Game), which the team has more appropriately relabeled a VRG (Virtual Reality Game). The experience featured multiple well known "Discovery" worlds as entry points into the experience. These discovery worlds took their existing builds and created new or altered geometry to give the appearance of "things not going right in VRChat". Suddenly parts of worlds were missing, null void was leaking everywhere and world geometry was either slowly being deleted, or becoming corrupt. Typically a mini puzzle within these worlds would lead players to a recognizable portal leading them to the hub of the VITU experience. Optionally, players could also enter into the experience through one of the many portals distributed throughout other partially participating (Lure participant) VRChat worlds. Once in the main portion of the experience, players are greeted by new VRChat characters and presented with several puzzles to solve to help resolve the issues taking place out in the "multiworlds". The experience is both broad and varied and allows for both individualized exploration and collaborative efforts. The VITU concludes with an impressive finale.

Worlds

Entry worlds

These worlds are featured in the "Venture into the (Un)known" (VITU) world row. Within each world contains mini puzzles that, once solved, spawn a portal into the ARG hub world. All worlds involved in VITU were required to have PC and Android support, which entry was not exclusive to worlds that were included in this list. For worlds that did not support both or had creators who wished to support the community event, a prefab was provided of an entry portal.
