Candy Quest 2025
Candy Quest 2025 is an event centered around Spookality 2025. Collect candy from other users' companions, to fill out the Candy Codex, and earn the Candy Codex Completionist badge.
Items
There are both free items, and optional items for Candy Quest that require VRC Credits (

Participating in the event does not require any purchases, however, acquiring companions - Kath and Treats - can help other users complete their Candy Codex.

Candy Codex
The Candy Codex is an item that can be redeemed for free from the Shop[1]. It serves as a log book to keep track of your collected candy[1].
The Candy Codex has 8 slots, 4 for wrapped candies and 4 for lollipops[1]. Once you fill your Candy Codex, you will no longer be able to collect more candy, and will receive the Candy Codex Completionist badge[1].
Candy can be collected from other users Treats and Kath companions after waiting for a short time. When a companion is ready to have its candy collected, it will glow and present the candy in front of itself[1]. Clicking the companion collects the candy. You must have your Candy Codex out for companions to present you with candy.
Each companion produces a unique piece of candy with theming that matches the companions unique attributes (Treats' wings and Kaths' antennae)[1]. Once you have collected candy from a companion, you are not able to collect candy from that same companion again[1].
Companions
There are two custom companions available for Candy Quest and Spookality 2025: Kath, and Treats.
Kath
Kath is an analog CRT monitor companion, with a glowing yellow jagged face. Kath companions can be given a custom color palette by their owner, by going to the Inventory tab in the Main Menu, clicking the Cosmetics section, and selecting "Customize Palette". Kath will beep, when pet by their owner, or by another user. Each Kath companion will make a lollipop candy for the Candy Codex.
Treats
Treats is a white feline-like companion with stubby paws, and bat-like wings. All Treats companions have a unique set of colors, and patterns on their wings that are different for every owner. Treats will purr, when pet by their owner, or by another user. Each Treats companion will make tube-shaped candy for the Candy Codex, which will be the same color and pattern as their wings.
Candy Codex Completionist badge
Users who obtain every candy necessary for filling in the Candy Codex, will receive that Candy Codex Completionist badge for their profile. This badge is an orange jack-o-lantern bucket, filled with various candies. The description of the badge is as follows:
"Awarded to those that were able to complete their Candy Codex during Spookality 2025"
