Community:PJKT Fest
PJKT Fest (also known as Projekt Fest or Projekt Community Festival) is a recurring annual community convention in VRChat organized by Projekt: Community (PJKT). It is the organization's flagship summer event and has been held each year since 2023. The festival brings VRChat communities into a dedicated festival world for multi-day runs built around staffed booths and a published daily program.
Overview
PJKT Fest is typically scheduled in June or early July. Editions have ranged from a three-day inaugural weekend to roughly ten- and eleven-day runs in later years.[1][2][3] Booth and program applications are published ahead of each edition under Projekt / PJKT festival branding.[4]
Format
Fest is organized as a convention floor rather than a single-track show. VRChat groups and individual organizers staff booths to recruit members, demo projects, and host sessions, while a daily schedule rotates panels, workshops, entertainment, and meetups.[2][3] Past program has covered topics such as sign language, improv, and virtual fitness, alongside live music and showcases of VRChat creative work.[3]
Participating communities have included gamers, roleplayers, improv groups, social clubs, avatar PvP combat groups, and larger networks such as the Furry Events Community, Soaring Fitness, TailBass, and the ProtoFox Network.[2] The program is typically livestreamed on Projekt Community's Twitch channel, with recordings posted to its YouTube channel afterward.[3]
History
2023
The inaugural Projekt Community Festival ran from June 23 to 25, 2023.[1] The three-day event brought together content creators, roleplaying groups, marketing organizations, and social groups, who set up booths to promote their organizations and recruit members.[1]
2024
PJKT Fest 2024 ran from June 28 to July 8, 2024, spanning eleven days.[2] In addition to the usual community booth floor, the edition featured a collaboration with Virtual Market (VKET).[5]
2025
PJKT Fest 2025 was a ten-day event.[3] It continued the staffed-booth format with a daily changing program, and sessions were streamed and archived through Projekt Community's Twitch and YouTube channels.[3]
2026
On March 18, 2026, VRChat's Bluesky account announced that the 2026 edition was going ahead and that communities could sign up to take part.[6]
Participation
Registration for booths and program is handled through Projekt Community's website and linked social channels. Requirements, deadlines, and participation rules are published with each year's call for applications.[4] In previous years, applications were accepted for booth representatives, event hosts, and film festival submissions tied to PJKT's wider calendar.[4]
