Projekt: Community (also PJKT, or PJKT:COM) is a community-run VRChat virtual events organization. Since 2023 it has run a year-round calendar of conventions and seasonal activities that bring VRChat groups together in dedicated event worlds—typically through staffed booths, scheduled programming, and collaborations with world creators.[1][2] Several PJKT-branded events have been featured in VRChat's client and on its official social channels.[3][4]

Overview

Projekt: Community was founded in January 2023.[5] Publicity for its first festival described the organization as having grown out of former staff of VRCon, an earlier community-driven VR convention.[6]

Rather than operating a single annual show, PJKT maintains a seasonal circuit: a large summer festival, a winter convention, an Easter-period world hunt, a film festival, and a horror convention.[1] Across those formats, the common pattern is to host other VRChat communities—content creators, roleplaying groups, social clubs, and creative projects—inside shared event spaces where they can run booths, panels, meetups, and entertainment.[6][2]

The organization's VRChat group shortname is PJKT.3741. Many event instances are set to Groups-Public or above, so membership in that group is required to join.[7] Attendance is free; participants need a VRChat account, and often group membership.[2]

Events

PJKT Fest

PJKT Fest (also called Projekt Fest or Projekt Community Festival) is the organization's flagship summer convention and has been held each year since 2023.[2] Editions have ranged from multi-day to roughly week-long runs, usually in June or early July, inside a dedicated festival world.[8][2]

The festival is built around staffed community booths and a changing daily program. Past programming has included panels and activities on topics such as sign language, improv, and virtual fitness, alongside live music and showcases of VRChat creative work.[2][8] Participating groups have spanned gamers, roleplayers, improv troupes, social communities, avatar combat groups, and larger networks such as the Furry Events Community and ProtoFox Network.[8] The 2024 edition also included a collaboration with Virtual Market (VKET).[9]

PJKT Fang

PJKT Fang is PJKT's winter convention. The 2026 edition ran from February 20 to 23 and was promoted by VRChat on Bluesky as featuring events, meetups, panels, and live music.[4] Like Fest, it uses a shared convention world where other communities set up booths—for example gaming sessions and cross-promotion for separate conventions.[7][10]

Graffiti Grab

Graffiti Grab is PJKT's recurring Easter-season egg hunt. Instead of a single convention floor, it spreads across many VRChat worlds: builders hide eggs for players to find during the holiday period.[1] VRChat has featured the event with curated client world rows and hub-world announcements, naming Projekt Community as host.[3][11] Some editions have added collectible "spreggs" and prize raffles alongside the open hunt.[12]

PJKT Lenz

PJKT Lenz (Projekt: Lenz) is PJKT's community film festival, showcasing submitted short films and filmmaking-focused programming.[1] The documented 2023 edition ran from September 29 to October 1 in a festival world by Pesky12.[13] Film-festival submissions have also been accepted alongside booth and event-host applications in past Fest sign-up periods.[14]

PJKT HorrorCon

PJKT HorrorCon is a horror-themed convention run in collaboration with HorrorConVR.[1] Documented editions include October 26-27, 2024, and a 2025 run that overlapped Group Fair programming under PJKT.3741; a further edition has been announced for October 2026.[15][16]

Format and media

Major PJKT conventions share a booth-and-programming model: other VRChat communities apply in advance, staff a presence in the event world, and contribute to a published schedule.[14][2] Livestreams of festival programming are typically carried on Projekt Community's Twitch channel, with recordings posted afterward to its YouTube channel.[2]

Recognition

In 2024, Projekt Community won a Gold Telly Award in the People's Telly category for Immersive and Mixed Reality for its Projekt: Festival 2023 Recap video.[17][18] The organization was also a finalist for the "Virtual Experience" award at the VR Community Awards 2024.[19]

Participation

Booth, programming, and related applications for major events are published on the organization's website and linked social channels ahead of each run.[14] In previous years, applications covered booth representatives, event hosts, and film festival submissions.[14] Requirements and deadlines vary by event and year.
